1991
Sanctuary Established
The Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary was established to protect the Gangetic dolphin population and its riverine habitat along the Sultanganj–Kahalgaon stretch of the Ganga in Bhagalpur, Bihar.
Historical milestones beyond the 1991 establishment date are managed through the Admin CMS and published only once verified by the Forest Department.
